Meraki - iOS Configuration Guide

We support iOS 13.1 and higher.

To get your organization ID and name

  1. Sign in to your Apple School Manager account with your Administrator credentials.

  2. Click your name in the bottom left of the sidebar.

  3. Go to Preferences > Enrollment Information.

  4. Locate your Organization ID and Company Name.

  5. Send this information to Blocksi and we will add your organization to the approved list of customers who can use our filtering app.

To enable custom apps

  1. Sign in to your Apple School Manager account with your Administrator credentials.

  2. Click your name in the bottom left of the sidebar.

  3. Click Preferences at the bottom of the sidebar.

  4. Click Enrollment Information.

  5. Scroll down to the Customer Apps section.

  6. Click Enable in the Custom Apps row.

To configure volume purchasing

  1. Click License Management in the Main Menu.

  2. Click Synchronize VPP.

To add the Blocksi Mobile Device App to Meraki

  1. Go to Systems Manager.

  2. Click Apps in the Manage section.

  3. Click Add app.

  4. Click iOS in the App platform section.

  5. Select App Store app in the App type section.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Click Blocksi for iPad.

  8. Select Blocksi from the Device tags field in the Targets section.

  9. Click Save.

To create the configuration profile

  1. Go to Systems Manager.

  2. Click Profiles list and click Add profile app.

  3. Click Device profile (default) and click Continue.

  4. Add the profile name and a description under Profile configuration and click Add settings.

  5. Search for Umbrella and select Cisco Umbrella.

  6. Click Managed app settings and select iOS from the Platform drop-down list.

  7. Select Blocksi for iPad from the App drop-down list and type organizationId in the first Key column field.

  8. Select Text from the first Type drop-down list and type the company email address registered on the Blocksi Admin Dashboard in the first Value column field.

  9. Type adminPassword in the next Key column field.

  10. Select Text from the next Type drop-down list and type your password in the next Value column field.

  11. Type ttl in the next Key column field.

  12. Select Text from the next Type drop-down list and type 60 in the next Value column field.

  13. Type userAuthEnabled in the next Key column field.

  14. Select Text from the next Type drop-down list and type false in the next Value column field.

  15. Click Save.

  16. Sync profiles.
