Hall Passes can be created in one of four ways: by a student, by a teacher, by an administrator, or by a delegate.

Students can create a Hall Pass request from their device. The request button is added to the student's screen when the Hall Pass feature is enabled by the teacher and when the class is running.

To create a Hall Pass request from a student device:
  1. Click the Plus Icon button on the student's screen. By default, the floating button is located in the bottom right. A menu appears once the button is clicked.

    Note

The student must be on a page that is not the default Chrome page in order for the plus button to be visible.

  3. Select the Location from the given options.

  4. Select the Time needed from the drop-down menu. While the default and maximum durations are set by your administrator, students can also manually input a specific time.

  5. Students can also describe the Reason why they require a Hall Pass.

  6. Click Submit to send the request. Once submitted, the Hall Pass has to be approved by either a teacher, an administrator, or a delegate.

    Note

A submitted request can be viewed by clicking the Hall Pass Icon button. From there, it can also be deleted or edited as needed.

Teachers can create a Hall Pass for every student in the current class.

Important

Administrators and delegates can create rules that limit or disable creating and approving Hall Passes for certain students. In this case, reach out to your administrator for assistance.
