YouTube Keyword Filters

Block access to certain words typed into the YouTube application. This prevents access to videos with questionable content. Add words to the keyword list, but be careful which words you add as this can create false positives by blocking access to legitimate videos.

Create as many YouTube keyword filters as you need.

To create a YouTube keyword filter

  1. Click Filters from the Main Menu and then click YouTube Filters from its sub-menu.

  2. Click Keyword Filter from the secondary sub-menu. The YouTube Keyword Filter screen appears.

  3. Type the name of the keyword filter in the Enter filter name text field.

  4. Click Create Filter + to add the filter. The filter appears at the bottom of the listing.

Add as many keywords as you need to a YouTube keyword filter.

To add a keyword to a YouTube keyword filter

  1. Click Filters from the Main Menu and then click YouTube Filters from its sub-menu.

  2. Click Keyword Filter from the secondary sub-menu. The YouTube Keyword Filter screen appears.

  3. Locate the filter to which to add the keyword, and click the Edit Icon icon. The Edit screen appears.

  4. Type the keyword in the Enter keyword text field.

  5. Click Add Keyword + to add the keyword to the filter. The keyword appears at the bottom of the listing.

Delete a keyword from a YouTube keyword filter when you no longer need it.

To delete a keyword from a YouTube keyword filter

  1. Click Filters from the Main Menu and then click YouTube Filters from its sub-menu.

  2. Click Keyword Filter from the secondary sub-menu. The YouTube Keyword Filter screen appears.

  3. Locate the filter from which you want to delete the keyword, and click the Edit Icon icon. The Edit screen appears.

  4. Locate the keyword you want to delete and click the Delete Icon icon. A confirmation prompt appears.

  5. Click OK to remove the delete from the filter. The keyword is deleted from the filter.

Rename a YouTube keyword filter as needed.

To rename a YouTube keyword filter

  1. Click Filters from the Main Menu and then click YouTube Filters from its sub-menu.

  2. Click Keyword Filter from the secondary sub-menu. The YouTube Keyword Filter screen appears.

  3. Locate the filter that you want to rename, and click the filter name. A box opens to allow you to rename the filter. Note that Save and Cancel buttons have been added to the right of the name, as shown below.

  4. Rename the filter, and click the Save button.

Modify a YouTube keyword filter as needed.

To modify a YouTube keyword filter

  1. Click Filters from the Main Menu and then click YouTube Filters from its sub-menu.

  2. Click Keyword Filter from the secondary sub-menu. The Keyword Filter screen appears.

  3. Locate the name of the filter you want to modify, and click the Edit Icon icon to the right of the filter name. The Edit screen appears.

  4. Make the necessary changes to the filter, and click Save Changes.

Use an existing YouTube keyword filter to create a new one.

To duplicate a YouTube keyword filter

  1. Click Filters from the Main Menu and then click YouTube Filters from its sub-menu.

  2. Click Keyword Filter from the secondary sub-menu. The YouTube Keyword Filter screen appears.

  3. Locate the filter to duplicate, and click the Duplicate Icon icon. The Duplicate Filter window opens.

  4. Type the name of the new filter in the text box.

  5. Click OK to add the filter. The duplicated filter appears at the bottom of the listing. It contains the same keywords as the original filter.

  6. Make any desired changes to the new filter and save it.

Delete YouTube keyword filters when you no longer need them.

To delete a YouTube keyword filter

  1. Click Filters from the Main Menu and then click YouTube Filters from its sub-menu.

  2. Click Keyword Filter from the secondary sub-menu. The YouTube Keyword Filter screen appears.

  3. Locate the name of the keyword filter you want to delete, and click the Delete Icon icon. A confirmation prompt appears.

  4. Click OK to delete the filter. The filter is removed.
